DescriptionThis small amphoriskos has a light blue ground with decoration in opaque yellow and opaque turquoise-blue. It features a short, inward-sloping rim-disk, a cylindrical neck, an obtuse-angled shoulder, and a top-shaped body. The circular light blue base-knob is uneven, with a small hole at its center. Two vertical strap handles of the same light blue glass extend from the shoulder to the middle of the neck. A partly marvered opaque yellow thread is attached at the edge of the rim-disk. A second opaque yellow thread and an opaque turquoise-blue thread, both marvered, begin at the junction of the neck and shoulder and are wound spirally in nearly horizontal lines down to the base-knob. A partly marvered opaque yellow thread is wound around the edge and underside of the base-knob. The vessel is core-formed, with applied rim-disk, handles, and base-knob, and applied marvered threads.
