DescriptionThin metallic brown glaze with two splashes of deep brown glaze.
Label TextKilns that produce Takatori ware were established at the foot of Takatori Mountain in 1600 under the direction of a Korean potter named Pal San. These kilns made simple, solid pieces of stoneware in coffee of chocolate brown glazes, with splashes of darker colors. These wares were popular for the tea ceremony.
