Label TextThe “mystery” of theater serves as a metaphor for the universal mysteries of life in the art of Dana Zámečníková. She uses plate glass as a kind of canvas for painted images, executed in oil rather than the more time-consuming and more traditional process of enameling. She layers her enigmatic images to communicate complex layers of meaning and of visual effects, adding metaphorical and actual depth to her work.
