DescriptionBlown in a two-piece mold (McKearin G.XI-30) that formed body and base (McKearin Type 7). On the obverse: a prospector wearing a cap, walking left with a walking stick in his right hand and carrying a stick with bag over his left shoulder, above an oval empty cartouche. On the reverse: an American eagle with banner floating from its beak, holding six arrows in its talons, above a rectangular cartouche. Lip reheated and tooled. Applied flat collar below lip. The moldmark on the base extends in the center 2.2 cm (7/8 in.) from each side of the flask, then forms a semicircle around a concave area in the center of the base, simulating a pontil mark. No pontil mark. Capacity: 1 quart.
