DescriptionBowl and stem cut with seven continuous panels. Each panel on the bowl is numbered; six of the panels bear initials, or ciphers, copper-wheel-engraved in different styles of letters above the smaller numeral: [sc]1, M; 2, E; 3, D; 4, SO[r] entwined; [sc]5, DM[r] entwined; [sc]6, DAJ[r] entwined; the seventh panel bears the U.S. coat of arms with banner streaming from eagle's beak bearing [sc]E PLURIBUS UNUM[r]. Concave, polished pontil mark. Polished foot.
