DescriptionThis object is made of medium thin glass with vertically elongated bubbles visible in the body. It is transparent natural pale green (between 5 G 7/2 and 5 G 5/2) with a translucent to opaque dark blue thread. The vessel was free-blown and tooled, with a pontil mark about 1.0 cm wide. Additional thread was applied to the surface. The rim is rounded in flame. The top third of the originally tubular neck is pinched flat, curled over, and attached to the middle of the neck to form a circular loop. The remainder of the neck is tubular, swelling gradually into an elongated bulbous main body with its greatest diameter below the middle. The near-spherical lower body is separated from the main section by jacking. The round base prevents the object from standing upright. Around the body, from the lower portion to the bottom of the neck, one continuous thread forms two revolutions of hanging festoons, two revolutions of inverted festoons, and five revolutions trailed from right to left. Five low pinched projections encircle the middle of the main body.
