DescriptionThis jar (Jar Class I D 1 a) is made of translucent to transparent dark yellowish orange glass (near 10 YR 4/6, but darker), with similarly colored handles. The glass is of medium-thin thickness and blowing spirals are visible on the surface. The exact fabric cannot be determined due to weathering. It was free-blown and tooled, with a pontil mark approximately 1.3 cm wide, located over a reamer mark. The rim is folded outward, upward, and downward. The deeply concave neck transitions to a sloping shoulder. The body is spherical with its widest point at the middle, and the base is concave with a central kick. Three angular coil handles are applied from the shoulder to the edge of the rim; the excess glass at the tips is folded back against the handle tops.
