Label TextMiki Suizan’s landscapes, with their soft and sometimes sketchy lines, are stylistically reminiscent of Chinese brush painting—thought to be the origin of what eventually became Japanese landscape painting and prints. However, whereas traditional Chinese ink paintings are monochromatic, Suizan’s images display the color sensibility typical of shin hanga prints.Miki Suizan
