Label TextMunari, who has done illustrations for children's books, is an artist in many media, including kinetics. In the 1950's he created a series of unreadable or unusable books for adults. The wordless books, made of colored paper with holes torn in them, playfully challenge the notion of a book's content being the printed word.Exhibition HistoryToledo Museum of Art, The Bareiss Collection of Illustrated Books from Toulouse-Lautrec to Kiefer, 1985, no.54.
