Label TextIn RE, Kiki Smith reimagines an ancient Egyptian funerary text to explore themes of regeneration, death, and cosmic order. The book incorporates a modern adaptation of the Papyrus Bremner-Rhind, a priestly manual from the Ptolemaic period used in temple rituals to aid the sun god Re (Ra) in his nightly battle against chaos.
