Label Text"Days of Glory" includes personal accounts of the liberation of Paris after the Second World War. The text is by a variety of authors, including most notably Valéry and Colette, all following a preface by General Koenig. Eluard's poem "Dans un miroir noir" is accompanied by an engraving of a woman's face and reproductions of two drawings in blue ink by Picasso. The proceed of the sale were given to the French Red Cross for the benefit of prisoners of war.Published Referencescf.
