Label TextAfter Caxton, Pynson was the most important printer of his day, and in 1508, he became the second holder of the office of King's printer, serving primarily in the reign of Henry VIII. Although Pynson was the first to introduce roman type into England in 1509, the text of this book is still in gothic type, although it is the English version of the Black Letter style.
