DescriptionMélite is a standing female figure, mold-pressed in transparent glass. The glass has a flange at the base that fits into a wooden base. The figure stands with her feet together and is holding a fish between her two arms, near her chest. Mélite is clothed in a long textured robe, extending to her feet and the base of the sculpture. She has a veil over
her bowed head. Her feet are bare and she is studded with what appears to be beads or droplets of water.
