Label Text:A group of Ancestral women of the Nangala and Napangati kinship sections of the Pintupi people camped at the Marrapinti rockhole site during their epic travels across the desert. While at the site the women made nose bones, also known as marrapinti, which are worn through the nasal septum. These nose bones are now only worn by members of the older generation on important ceremonial occasions.
