DescriptionSymmetrical brooch in the shape of a stylized bow, consisting of a central faceted citrine set into a beaded bezel that is encircled by two separate concentric rings of increasing size set with marcasite (faceted steel). Two identical sets of three overlapping leaf-shapes decorated overall with a soldered-on corded wire scroll (filigree) pattern are soldered in a horizontal arrangement beneath either side of the central ornament. The surface is patinated with a greenish gilding for which Gustav Braendle Jr. held a patent.
