Label Text:The Leerdam Glass Factory’s Zodiac Plate was made for the 1939 New York World’s Fair. The Fair promoted the Utopian ideal of “the world of tomorrow” and all things modern, including modern design. The Art Deco style, embodied in the Zodiac Plate, reached its culmination with the Fair.
