DescriptionThe cylindrical object is cast of transparent glass with intentional internal striations, veiling, and small air traps. It has a recessed stepped base; the exterior wall of the body is cut with 24 identical vertical flutes. The straight walls and bottom of the interior is lined with a fitted cylinder of spun copper; its interior surface is oxidized to a dark brown finish. The exterior surface is left untreated, allowing the bright copper color to be visible through the thick glass wall.
