DescriptionArtists' book consists of nine loose sheets laid into a clamshell box. Each sheet has been printed (with copper plate etchings) and laminated to a second sheet. Several have die-cuts as part of design. On sheets with two plates, the image is on the right and the text on the left. "The seven poems are printed in a signed and numbered edition of 30, of which ten have been bound into books. The paper is 200 pound Crisbrook H.P. and was made in 1970 by the J.B. Green Company, England. The printing was done in New York by Mohammad Omer Khalil. The cases are by four Hands Bindery, New York. Images, handwriting and book design are by Christopher Wilmarth. Published by Frederick Morgan and Christopher Wilmarth, New York, 1981.
The seven poems by Mallarmé are from the Mallarmé Oeuvres Complètes edition of the Bibliotèque de la Pléiade, published by the Librairie Gallimard, Paris, in 1945.
