Label Text:Libbey’s “Embassy” glassware was designed for the State Dining Room at 1939 New York World’s Fair. The Fair promoted the Utopian ideal of “the world of tomorrow” and all things modern, including modern design. The Art Deco style reached its culmination with the Fair.
