DescriptionIt represents an imperial double portrait on the obverse, with overlapping profiles of Henri IV of France and his bride Marie de' Medici. The reverse shows an allegory of French reign and succession, with Henry and Marie in the guise of Mars and Minerva, and the infant Daufin between them. An eagle carries the crown above.
