Label Text:Akhen-aten’s famous Great Royal Wife Nefertiti, depicted in extremely skillful sunken relief, offers flowers to the Aten, the solar disk. The sun-god responds by extending rays that end in delicate, curvaceous hands; three are visible at upper right. The subtle handling of Nefertiti’s face, elongated arms, and delicate drapery folds are stylistic elements unique to the era of Akhenaten.
