Label Text:An early proponent of glass as a sculptural material, Marvin Lipofsky was one of the first students to graduate from Studio Glass pioneer Harvey Littleton’s glass program at the University of Wisconsin in the late 1960s. Throughout his career, he has experimented with the blown-glass bubble form, opening it up, shaping and fragmenting it to create organic forms that suggest the molten flow of glass.

For the RIT Group series Lipofsky was assisted by students at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
