Label Text:Tom Patti uses industrial glass as a sculptural medium to create miniature moments that explore the relationship between art and science. To create the internal veiling seen in Starfire Particle, Patti fused sheets of glass that have been mechanically treated to form tiny spheres of air. The result is a stretched, undulating, organic composition that appears to be larger than it actually is.
