Label Text:At a time when most studio glass artists were exploring blown glass sculptural forms, Steven Weinberg chose to experiment with kiln-casting and glass-cutting, creating Escher-like optical puzzles within cube forms. His works explore and analyze space while pushing the boundaries of glass as a material. It is easy to become “lost” in the interior of a work by Weinberg. He states that, “through the process of making objects, I am able to set parameters and make sense of space.”
