DescriptionSteuben no. 2683 vase, Cluthra. Gather rolled over crushed light amethyst glass bits of varying sizes and sodium or potassium nitrate, which caused the crushed glass to foam and produce bubbles of varying sizes as it was overlaid with another gather of colorless glass. Blown in a paste mold and finished by tooling. Concave, polished pontil mark.
