DescriptionBowl pressed upside down in a female mold of three vertical sections, with a cap ring that formed the underside and lower edge of base, by a plain male plunger. The base was then placed upright in a fixture with a mold for the patterned bowl attached above it, into which a paraison of glass was inserted and then blown, joining the lower end of the bowl to the base in perfect alignment. The bowl was reheated and the rim finished by tooling.
