DescriptionEntire piece pressed upright in a female mold of three vertical sections bearing the Lawrence pattern, with a plain base plate, with a cap ring that formed the rim and area above the arches, by a plain male plunger. The foot was probably formed from a hollow cylinder at the lower end of the stem by the Magoun and Sweeney patent methods (see also ACGC, p. 467, no. 752). Rim heavily fire-polished and possibly tooled. No pontil mark.
