DescriptionBowl: bowl, stem, and upper part of foot pressed in a female mold of three vertical sections bearing the Mitre Diamond pattern, with a base plate that formed the lower edge of the foot and its concave underside, with a cap ring that formed the exterior side and upper edge of the Mitre Diamond rim, by a plain male plunger. The moldmarks extend from the side of the foot upward in a straight line to the horizontal edge of the rim. No pontil mark. Cover: pressed upside down in a one-piece female mold bearing the Mitre Diamond pattern that formed the cover, in conjunction with a one-piece female mold that formed the top of the finial, a three-piece female mold that formed the acorn cap and stem, and one-piece female mold that formed the circular base of the finial, with a cap ring that formed the rim, by a plain male plunger. No pontil mark.
