Label Text:Concordia is the ancient Roman goddess of harmony and peace. She is shown here holding a model of a town in her left hand while she supports a large millstone with her right. This print is taken from a series of representations of vices and virtues. The millstone symbolizes the grinding of many grains creating homogeneous flour, while the representation of the city suggests a harmonious union of citizens.
