Label Text:From the 1520s we begin to see the influence of Dürer in Van Leyden’s work. His style, however, remained unique even after having direct contact with the master engraver. Van Leyden’s approach to engraving resulted in a finished print that was more like a drawing, with lighter tones of ink and delicate effects.
