Label Text:Measuring just 1/4 x 5/8 inches, Triangular Bridge, Crowland is the smallest print in this exhibition. The subject is an unusual 14th-century bridge located in the middle of the English town of Crowland, Lincolnshire. The bridge originally spanned the River Welland and a tributary, which explains its triangular structure and three stairways, but the waterways were long ago diverted and today the bridge stands in the middle of the town.
