Label Text:This bestiary, full of wonderful naturalistic lithographs of animals which Toulouse- Lautrec had studied at the Paris zoo, is one of the finest illustrated books of its time. However, when it was published, it was virtually a financial failure as very few copies were sold; the edition did not sell out until 1917. On the cover, displayed here, is a silhouette of a fox.
